This scheme has been started for the health and nutrition of women in the state and to make them economically self-reliant. Therefore, this scheme was launched by the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on 28 January 2023, under which every eligible beneficiary woman will be given a financial assistance amount of Rs 1,000 every month.

Under this scheme, earlier financial assistance of Rs 1,000 was given, which has now been increased to Rs 1250. Which will be further increased to Rs 3,000/month.

Many schemes are started in the state for the health, nutrition, and economic empowerment of women. In this context, some important things should be known, which are as follows:

• According to the National Family Health Survey, 23.0% of women are below the standard body index.
• According to the National Family Health Survey, the level of anemia among women aged 15 to 49 years is 54.7%.
• According to the report released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, in the labor force participation rate in Madhya Pradesh, the participation of men in rural areas is 57.7% and the participation of women is 23.3%. In urban areas, the participation of men is 55.9% and the role of women is 13.6%. That is, it becomes clear that the participation of women in the state is less than that of men.

Keeping this in mind, this “Mukhyamantri Laadli Brahmin Yojana” has been started by the Madhya Pradesh State Government to improve the economic self-reliance of women, improve their health and nutrition, and also increase and strengthen their role in the family. Under this, all eligible beneficiary women were given Rs 1,000 every month, which has now been reduced to Rs 1250.

• Under this scheme, women in the state have to provide self-respect in their families and provide them with financial assistance.
• Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 1250 will be given every month to every eligible woman whose Aadhaar card is linked to her bank account.
• Under the scheme, if a woman below 60 years of age is getting less than Rs 1250 every month in the Social Security Pension Scheme, then a total amount of up to Rs 1250 will be given to her.
• Under this scheme, the health and nutrition of not only women but also the children dependent on them will improve.

• Only local women of Madhya Pradesh state can apply under the scheme.
• Only married, widowed, divorced, and abandoned women can avail of benefits under the scheme.

• Those women who own or whose family members own more than 5 acres of land in total will get the benefit.
• Those women whose family members have a four-wheeler (including a tractor) in their name will not get the benefit.

• Under the scheme, even before applying online, women will have the facility to fill out the form with all the information related to the application. You will receive these application forms from Camp/Gram Panchayat/Ward Panchayat/Anganwadi Centre.
• This filled form will be filled online by the Camp/Ward/Gram Panchayat/Ward Office and then you will be given a pre-printed acknowledgment of this filled form. This acknowledgment will also be received directly by SMS or WhatsApp to the beneficiary.
• This entire application process will be free.
• It will be necessary for the applicant woman to be present at the concerned center so that her live photo can be taken. Therefore, it will be necessary for the woman to bring the following documents with her.

Under the scheme, the Women and Child Development Department will be the nodal department at the state level and the work will be done by the local bodies in the implementation area of ​​the scheme with the cooperation of the Women and Child Development Department.
